月見の石（つきみのいし）

かつて松島湾を一望の下に見おろしたこの地には、 塩竈の文化の花が咲きました。 文化文政の頃 （1804～1829年） 市内の酒造店阿部勘九郎家の別邸があり、 この地に集まり月を愛で、 詩歌を詠じた当時の俳人、 歌人、 画家の寄書き集 「赤朧集」 に残されていますが、 この石も別邸庭園中にあり、 月見石と称されたといいます。 なお赤朧集には市内の学者、 文人のほか、 塩竈を訪れた当時の著名人の書跡も数多く残されていると言われます。

Stone of Tsukimi

DESCRIPTION

Tsukimioka used to be a flourished land which afforded a beautiful view of Matsushima Bay. During Bunka-bunsei (1804 -1829), there was a second house of the family of Kankuro Abe living in the city. In a book named “Sekiro-shu”, a collection of compositions of artists who gathered in this place and enjoyed moon gazing, you can find reference to the face that the Tsukimi stone was in his yard. The book contains paintings, poems and scholarly writings, lists of cultured people, and also celebrities who visited Shiogama.
