熊野神社（くまのじんじゃ）

承応年間以前は毛無崎囲、 観音堂の西にありましたが、 現在は野々島の平和田囲に所在し大巳貴命おおなむちが祀られています。 特に御神像の奥に納まる厨子入り仏像は 「キリシタン」 研究の資料として貴重です。

Kumano Shrine

DESCRIPTION

Before the Jouou period, it was located to the west of Kannon-do. Currently it’s located on Nono island. It deifies Onamuchi-no-mikoto. Notably, a Buddha statue inside the Zusi (a small shrine), which fits in the Shinto God idol provides valuable research material for “Kirishitan” (Christians who came to Japan to introduce the Catholic religion in those times).
